| FINAL ANNOUNCEMENT |

We are pleased to announce the first School of Cosmic Rays and Astrophysics to be held in La Paz from August 9th to August 20th, 2004. This School aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the theoretical and experimental aspects of Cosmic Ray Physics and Astrophysics. It is open for late-term undergraduate students and early graduate students interested in learning the essentials of these fields. Lecture topics will include topics such as solar physics, primary spectrum and composition of cosmic rays, high-energy interactions, gamma ray astronomy and GRBs, neutrino astrophysics, cosmic ray detectors, simulation, magnetic monopoles and present status of the Auger Project. These introductory lectures will provide students a common background, while specialized seminars will give them an up to data panorama.
We intend this School could be the first of a series devoted to the field of Cosmic Ray Physics to be held every two years at different Latin-American countries.
